I’m interested in a position at an Apex client, but I’m a bit nervous about leaving my permanent position. How secure is a contract or temp-to-hire position?
Contract and temp-to-hire positions are as safe as any “permanent” position out there. The important thing to remember is that when a position is terminated within a company, rarely is consideration given to the fact that it’s a “permanent”, contract, or temp-to-hire role. Chances are, the job was being cut either way. For contract professionals, keeping your skills up to date and maintaining a good professional track record will always land you a position in today’s frenetic tech employment marketplace.

What happens to my resume once I submit it to Apex Systems?
Once you have registered your information with Apex Systems, a technical recruiter will first be in contact with you to gather more information, and again when an Apex recruiter comes across a position that might be of interest to you. In any case, we NEVER send your resume to a client without your permission.

How do I get a job through Apex once I’ve sent my information in?
Once you’ve submitted a resume and spoken with a recruiter, we’ll contact you when a position comes along that we feel could be a good fit for you. Once that happens, we will meet with you personally to discuss the position, your experience, and possibly conduct a skills test to better assess your proficiency. We will also perform a managerial reference check as well. After completing this process, we will present your resume to our client manager with a strong recommendation to interview. Once you get the interview we will help you prepare, but ultimately your skills and professionalism will win you the job.
