We
have an opening we want Apex to help us with. How does the process work?
The first step is to contact your local Apex account manager to go over
the details of the position. We will tailor our recruiting efforts, timeframes,
and hiring process to suit your needs. Apex will then recruit and qualify
the top candidates for your position and send their resume down for your
review. From there you will be involved in the selection and interview
process (if you choose to to interview them). All that’s left at
that point is to select the perfect candidate, sign a Client Service Agreement,
and set a date for the candidate to start! We will make the offer and
arrange everything else.
Do Apex contract employees (temps) sign a contract as well?
Yes. All Apex contract employees sign our Contract Employee Agreement,
which stipulates the terms of employment. A copy will be made available
to you at your request.
What are your rates?
Rates may vary based upon skill set, experience, and market value, but
we always work within your budget, and our prices never exceed the
fair market value. Please contact your local Apex account manager for
more details.
We have an internal recruiting staff- why should we work with Apex as
well?
If finding the best people available on the market is a priority, and
if finding them in a swift and efficient manner is important, then working
with Apex in addition to your own internal efforts makes complete sense.
Apex Systems offers you the ability to have an experienced, top-tier recruiting
firm quickly solve your staffing problems, while limiting your expenses
and giving you a great on-the-job evaluation period to alleviate any “human
factor” issues before you make someone part of your full-time staff.
I have an opening in a city where Apex is not yet located. Can
you still help us?
Absolutely! Although we prefer to have a local presence for screening
purposes, our quality processes and thorough background investigations
allow us to recruit great candidates for any location. We have made many,
many successful remote placements for our clients.
How long has Apex Systems been in business?
Apex Systems was started in 1995.
Does Apex supply training for their contract employees?
Apex does make training available to our contract employees in many instances,
however these are typically for long-term, indefinite contracts. Temp-to-perm
placements are not typically eligible for training, as they are transitional
employees with our organization. It is important to note, however, that
the employees we recruit and place with a client do not typically need
training, as they already possess the skills and experience to handle
their responsibilities.
What does Apex do to retain employees?
Retention has never been a problem with Apex Systems. We work with many
of the top companies in the country, we allow our placements to be taken
on permanently, we pay them very competitive rates, and we offer very
sound benefits. We pride ourselves in being a staffing firm that takes
our employees’ best interests to heart, in building strong professional
relationships, and in providing an honest and professional career resource.
How does Apex find their people?
The recruiters at Apex Systems make their living finding the best candidates
available using a variety of methods. Internet job boards, print ads,
our existing database of candidates, extensive networking through users
groups, associations, and referrals, and many other methods comprise the
typical arsenal of an Apex recruiter.
Do you have people on the “bench” waiting for work?
No. Although Apex is able to use many individuals for consecutive placements,
as well as having a high “repeat placement” rate, we do not
have a “bench”, per se. In an effort to streamline our operations
and turn the cost savings over to our clients, we have avoided the expenses
of having “bench” personnel. This has never had an impact,
though, on our ability to always find the top talent necessary to fill
a position.
We already have other vendors we use- why should we add another?
You benefit from the competition. There is no cost for us to work on an
opening, our costs are extremely competitive, and we are a proven vendor
for hundreds of top corporations across the country. The bottom line for
you is finding the best person for the job. Why not take a look at our
top one or two candidates? The worst thing that could happen is you see
a couple more extremely qualified candidates. We are confident that if
we don’t quickly become your #1 vendor, your #1 vendor will improve
because we will be pushing them.
