Apex Systems Raises over a Quarter of a Million Dollars for American Cancer Society
RICHMOND, VA - October 24, 2011 - Apex Systems is proud to announce their employees raised over $101,000 this year for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life program, bringing the total raised for the ACS since 2008 at over $250,000. Employees across the country raised money by participating in Relay for Life events. Money was also raised through various fundraisers, including golf outings, donating for jeans days, and proceeds from happy hour sponsorships. In addition, Apex partially sponsors the Richmond Flying Squirrels ‘Strike Out Cancer’ program, donating money each time the Squirrels have a strike out.
“Apex is proud to be a National Corporate Team for the American Cancer Society,” notes Jeff Veatch, Apex Co-CEO. “Our employees have participated in Relay for Life events throughout the country since 2008 and raised a significant amount of money for the organization. It is an honor to support the ACS and join in the fight against cancer.”
“Employees at Apex have embraced the ACS and have thought of some creative ways to fundraise for the Relay for Life,” said Eric Woods, Apex’s American Cancer Society National Volunteer Leader. “Our strong commitment is demonstrated each year as we continuously beat our fundraising goals.”
