AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY
In 2009, Apex Systems chose the American Cancer
Society as the primary charity on which a majority of
our donations and time would be focused. Cancer has
affected many Apex employees, contract employees
and clients, which made the American Cancer Society
the best choice for making a difference in each of our
communities.
As the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life has over 4,700 Relays that take place across the nation each year. Many of those races are held in Apex’s individual markets. We have encouraged our employees to create teams within their branches for participation in their local Relay event.
In Apex’s first year supporting the American Cancer Society, nearly 100% of Apex’s 49 branch locations participated in their Relay for Life event. With the help of each of our employees, contract employees and clients, Apex Systems’ total contribution in 2009 to the American Cancer Society was over $100,000.
A letter from Gloria Jetter, the Regional Executive Director for the American Cancer Society who worked with Apex Systems, comments on some aspects of Apex’s national sponsorship:
